Fees and Payment OptionsI do not accept any insurance. If you chose to utilize your policy please contact your carrier to determine any out-of-network benefits available to you. I will gladly give you a monthly bill to submit for reimbursement. InsuranceThere are both risks and benefits to utilizing your health insurance to recover some costs of your treatment. Please read the following carefully so that you may make an informed decision. Benefits - Utilizing your out-of-network benefits may mean your insurance company would cover part of the cost of your treatment and therefore ease any financial aspects of entering therapy. Risks - Insurance companies will only reimburse for treatment if I submit a medical diagnosis for you. This diagnosis becomes part of your insurance records and under certain circumstances the company you work for could have access to this information. - The insurance company (not you or I together) will have final say over how many sessions you require as well as how effective they feel your treatments are. Should they deem you are not making appropriate progress within their stated time frame they could require you to be assessed for medication as a requirement for reimbursement. This should be a clinical issue discussed and agreed upon by yourself and a medical professional not a requirement by an insurance company who is unaware of the issues you may be dealing with. - Finally, any medical records can be subpoenaed (including mental health records) should you become involved in a court proceeding. Fee StructureIndividual Session (in office) $ 100 (45 minutes) Individual Session (in office) $ 125 (60 minutes) Individual Phone Consultation $ 100 (45 minutes) Couple Sessions (in office only) $ 140 (60 minutes) I request payment by cash or check at the start of each session. Payments for phone sessions are by arrangement. The session fee may increase periodically, however, no more than once per year. I will inform you in advance of any changes in fees. There is a $35 fee for checks returned for insufficient funds. |
